Who Will be Inside my Home?

This is a frequent – and welcome question we receive from homeowners. When you call Elysium to the job, you get Elysium’s house painters: People who have been with us for years, people who have a history, people who will care for and respect your home like it’s their mom’s. We treat every job from a simple bedroom painting to a large complex like it’s a showcase job: anybody can come in at any time, and we want them to!

Elysium Painting Company is licensed, bonded and insured, which means you and your property are protected from anything accidental or unforeseeable that could occur. We’ve never had any reports of theft or conflicts, and this is partially due to our very thorough screening and selection process: We perform background checks, interviews, supervised training, and onsite inspections to verify everybody is absolutely top grade and trustworthy before allowing them to work in your house.

Some painting contractors may use hired help, people with little experience and training, or even unskilled “friends” who just happen to be out of the job. Your house – and our reputation – is too valuable to gamble on such acts. We don’t set up expectations just to kick them down; we create an experience, one that feels safe, friendly and inviting, so you can feel free to stick around and watch or progress or leave any time and trust that the job is in good hands.

Think about all the scenarios that could occur with virtual strangers in your home. Think about your carpets, your furniture, your photos, your art. Think about your instructions to the crew, and everything you felt should be common-sensical and easily left unsaid. Think about the worst that could happen, based on nightmare scenarios you’ve heard from friends or through the grapevine. Do you really want to just throw in a random interior home painting contractor with a low price and hope for the best? Or do you want to save yourself all the nail-biting, mind-wracking worry and choose a team that exudes confidence, politeness and courtesy? A team who’s references speak strongly of good prep work and jobs well done – without hassle.

Anybody can produce a few references, but very few house painters have reference lists in the triple digits. We have contact information for literally hundreds of happy homeowners willing to vouch for our people as one of the many small signs of gratitude for a low-stress, high quality paint job. The same can be said for our drywall work. See one of our Recent Client References for an example by some very generous and happy homeowners who posted on their blog.

Good communication is important too. Our customers don’t just randomly bring out lemonade and sandwiches – they do it because they are SO grateful to have a happy, out-of-the way crew at home! We do interior painting the way it should be done: Clean, thorough, proper and organized. We keep you up to speed the whole time. And we do it with people we know, people we would be fine if you knew, and people that have such a strong work ethic and persistence that they act as their own managers.

However, we do employ project managers, who serve as general supervisors, ombudsmen and a key link between you and the crew, mainly to save you time and keep the process streamlined. In our next section – which builds upon our house painting reference section above – we talk about our project management system in more detail and in a way that will paint a clear picture in your head of the experience you can expect from a well done paint job.
